Sony’s first 4K phosphor laser cinema projectors, SRX-R800 Series
« on: Tue October 10, 2017, 12:59:34 PM »

Looks like Sony will attend Showeast 2017, see below. I am looking forward to hearing more about this projector specifically if it will have a HDMI 2.0 input for alternative HDR content.

The Sony Digital Cinema Sales Team will be at South Beach from 23-26 October. They’ll be on hand to tell you more about our eagerly-awaited new SRX-R800 Series – Sony’s first 4K phosphor laser cinema projectors.

Complementing our acclaimed HPM lamp based projector family, the R800 Series sets new picture quality standards. Audiences will be thrilled by ultra-clear speckle free images in true 4K, now with a stunning 10,000:1 average contrast ratio – great for presenting in HDR with no extra equipment or costly licenses needed. The laser light source maintains consistent brightness levels over a 20,000 hour operating life with effectively no maintenance, saving on the costs and hassle of frequent lamp changes.

Naturally there’s a choice of 4K laser solutions from Sony for every size of cinema. The SRX-R815P offers a generous 15,000 lumens brightness for presentation on smaller and medium screens. It’s partnered by the SRX-R515DS dual projection system that delivers an impressive 30,000 lumens – ideal for presentation in 2D and 3D on PLF screens.

Get in touch if you’d like to find out more, or to arrange a meeting at ShowEast. We look forward to seeing you there.

With best wishes,

Sony Digital Cinema
